About Us
Children Need Both Parents, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, founded and incorporated in 1993. We are a FAMILY organization who advocate the rights of FAMILY and it's members. Our goals include counseling to both parents, supervision of visitation which will allow parents to go on escorted outings with their children as opposed to visitation taking place in a designated room and workplace support. The need to expand services is based on attacking not the results of a problem, but the problem. Our Grand Rapids office feed families weekly through our Food Pantry Services. We are a multi state organization operating in Illinois and Michigan.

Our project goals include, maintaining positive contact between children and both biological parents; to perpetuate relationships. We discourage the use of medication to control children and are fighting against the use of mind altering drugs administered to children, to reduce absenteeism and maintain acceptable production levels in the workplace by those individuals who are experiencing adverse domestic relations.

We intend to become a national focal point for providing information, education and services for parents and children through workshops, one-on-one counseling and group therapy. Parenting classes and the establishment of an environment for supervised visitation which will allow parents to go on escorted outings with their children when supervision orders are in place. We effectively work toward agreement between both parents on the amount and method of payment of child support.

We want to bring to a minimum the poor production levels in the workplace because of adverse domestic relations.

Strong families make strong neighborhoods which make strong cities which make a strong nation. Our future depends on how well we as parents raise our children.

LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Michigan judges would be allowed to require those charged with domestic violence to wear GPS devices that send alarms to their accusers under legislation planned by a Republican state lawmaker.

The measure would give domestic violence victims a warning system to alert them when their potential attackers are nearby, said Rep. Bill Caul, R-Mount Pleasant. Caul said the need for more protections was highlighted by a recent Isabella County case where a man was charged with the shooting death of his estranged wife.
HOUGHTON - It's been said that absence makes the heart grow fonder. However, according to the National Fatherhood Initiative Web site, there are approximately 24 million children in the U.S. who live absent of their biological father, which studies have shown can have an adverse impact on a child's life.

To help decrease that number, or to help fathers become more involved in their children's lives, organizations across the country provide numerous family-oriented programs, geared toward rebuilding family relationships.

CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - In a third day of testimony on a bill that would alter how child custody is determined, both supporters and opponents said the change would have dramatic effects on families.

SB109, introduced by Sen. Maurice Washington, R-Sparks, would establish the presumption that joint custody is in the best interest of a child, even when both parents don't agree to joint custody. Current law holds that presumption to be true only when both parents agree to joint custody.

At least three local residents were among roughly 100 at a rally last week in Harrisburg intended to get fathers treated more fairly in custody disputes.

The rally, sponsored by Fathers’ And Children’s Equality, was meant to show support for House Bill 888 which advocates say would order that children of separated parents begin in joint custody arrangements, spending half the time with each parent.

As many as 10 per cent of fathers are unknowingly not the biological parent of at least one of their children, experts say.

And about 20 per cent of men who suspect their partner's fidelity and demand a paternity test have their fears proven right.
